This winter has been rough, to say the least. I feel like I’ve had more snow days that actual days of work, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t counting down the days until I can wear sandals & shorts. With that said, I still have moments where snow makes me feel giddy. Maybe its because I didn’t grow up with snowy winters, so some of its novelty is still in tact. Regardless, I can still find ways to enjoy the snow, and it helps that I had all the right winter gear to keep me warm!
These Ilse Jacobsen all-weather boots have been my saving grace this winter. They are made from all natural rubber and they’re fleece lined, so they’re super cozy and keep my feet warm even in the most disgusting weather. I love the laces up the front, and I went with black (though there are a zillion other colors to choose from) because it’s basic and matches with everything. It’s easy to pair these boots with dressier outfits, though if I’m being honest I wore them mostly with leggings and oversized t-shirts. I love pairing them with tights and a dress for a nicer, yet still practical look. I love a good sweater dress and this one I found at H&M is my new favorite. Keeping with the b&w obsession I am currently experiencing, I love the print on this dress and it’s super cozy with its oversized shape and warm knit material. (I always tend to buy dresses like this one size bigger just so they’re extra roomy…because when it’s cold outside and you’re dreaming of pajamas you definitely don’t want to be in something form fitting. Or at least I don’t!)
Here’s hoping that this past week was the last bit of snow we’ll get, and (fingers crossed) summer is right around the corner!
